The core strength of PARADIGMA Innovation lies in its team of interdisciplinary researchers and academics, who collectively bring many years of experience from previous top-tier European projects and academic institutions.
Meet Our Expert Core Team

Flavia Roteda Ruffino
Director & Co-founder
Lawyer, Degree and MSc in Law and Criminal Compliance. She is currently Legal and Project Manager in an ethics consulting firm for European projects, Plus Ethics; and part-time lecturer of Criminal Law at Miguel Hernández University of Elche. Her research interests are focused on criminal law, privacy and protection of participants, and gender policies.

Francisco J. Castro-Toledo
Scientific Officer & Co-founder
PhD in Criminology, Degree and Master in Philosophy and MBA. He is currently CEO and co-founder of an ethics consulting firm for European projects, Plus Ethics; and part-time lecturer of Criminal Law and Criminology at Miguel Hernández University of Elche. His research interests are focused on research ethics analysis applied to EU-funded projects, research designs and epistemology in social sciences and humanities.

Alejandro Nicolás Sánchez
EU Projects Officer
MSc in Crime Analysis and Prevention, and Degree in Criminology. He is currently researcher at Plus Ethics. He participates in European projects addressing policy analysis, research ethics, and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). His research interests focus on the ethical and societal aspects of research projects, human rights, and the protection of vulnerable groups.

Ana B. G. Bellvís
External scientific collaborator & Co-founder
PhD in Criminology. Degree in Law and MSc in Criminological and Victimological Intervention. Co-founder of PARADIGMA Innovation and former lecturer in Criminal Law at Miguel Hernández University. Her research focuses on compliance, deterrence, criminal justice, and democratic intuitions of punishment.

Cristina del Real
External scientific collaborator
PhD in Social Sciences and Law. Degree in Criminology and MSc in Criminal Justice and Security Studies. Assistant Professor of Cyber Crisis at Leiden University. Her work explores the intersection of society, technology and security, with a focus on public perceptions and smart city governance.

Tobias Gretenkort

PhD in Hispanic Linguistics. Degree in Hispanic and French Languages & Cultures, and MSc in Cognitive Semiotics. He is currently a consultant in communication and linguistic competences. His research focuses on gender analysis in language, semiotics, and sociolinguistic discourse.

Ana B. Valverde-Cano
External scientific collaborator
PhD in Criminal Law and MSc in Law. Assistant Professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid and former Research Fellow at the Rights Lab, University of Nottingham. Her research specialises in criminal and human rights law, with a focus on modern slavery and its legal translation into national frameworks.
